Random post for you, Romo....
First of all.......Thanks for your comment just now....I had a good laugh over it and shared it with Jeremy who was thoroughly entertained by it as well. (And I won't post it, per your request :))
So, thanks :). Once again, you kept me from doing something crazy.
Yeah...so I got the weird idea in my head to try that tonight...and was doing some reading on the topic...and was kind of intrigued by the whole thing and ready to jump right onto that bandwagon. Hey, it's a new year after all....I need a new year's resolution, right?
Maybe instead I'll try to do less processed foods, more fruits/veggies, etc....
Not that you REALLY care ;), but also wanted to let you know....things are slowly improving on the running front. Little to no ankle pain...no knee pain...I'm trying some new shoes (Adidas Marathon 10)....and keeping better tabs on cross training.
I'm hoping to have the half at the U of I marathon be my "come-back" event....and to do a marathon in June and October. I would really like to do the Marine Corps marathon at the end of October in DC. We'll see.
That whole Boston thing...I'm still kind of hung up on the idea of qualifying. I don't really know "why" it's so appealing to me...but it really is.
There's so much to do, though, before I can run with the big boys and girls...
I need to get more serious about a better diet (I use my gluten-free status as an unfortunate "excuse" to eat basically whatever else I want...since I can't do gluten...and sometimes tend to convince myself that that's enough of a "sacrifice")....and weight training...and get back in the pool.
Also...my lame-o, random blog needs a new title. Any suggestions? ;)
Thanks Romo...you're the best un-known, random friend :). Now for that Chinese tattoo.... ;)

Quick in my head titles for your yet to be named Blog, You seem to like longer titles so try this one: "Paradise is exactly like where you are right now, only much, much better." Or, " I don't believe there's such a thing as TV".
That one is more likely to bring in the crazy , third shift people who have been listening to the dynamo hum a few too many nights.
I'll read the blog entry with keener interest soon and come up with something more appropriate. Yet, what I did read showed some very good answers coming from within you. There is perhaps a little Zen in your Christian mind ?
Yes, you can post this. I had to get you a list of blog names since you asked nicely:
1.There are some thing you can’t cover up with lipstick and powder.
2.Superman is an illegal alien
3. Swimming a road race
4. The pessimistic determinist daughter with a husband and a cat
5. Dreaming Pragmatic
6. My private literature
7.The precise nonexpert with a sincere point of view
8.Atrocious Impulse Love
9. Cute legs, warm heart, fast thoughts
10. Fast legs, warm heart, cute thoughts.
I actually do care, simply within reason. Boston is appealing because it's really 'cool' and you really need to do more 'cool' stuff. We all do. I climbed the 259 steps of Saint Paul's Cathedral in London because it was 'cool'. That and it's the only way to get to the top. And a bit of bragging rights never hurts. We all should have a 'cool' story or two. Perhaps one of yours will be Boston. Lastly, always a big fan of Adidas shoes, may your Marathon 10's serve you well.
Thanks for the suggestions, Romo :).
Cute legs? Come on now. As if I'd really make that be in my title. Gross. ;)
Boston IS "cool"...to me anyway!
The other night at dinner, my husband posed a challenge to me. He looked at me with that obnoxious glint in his eyes (the one he gets when he KNOWS he is going to say something that will really "get to" me ;)) and told me that we are not having kids until after I qualify for and run Boston. He knows I'm somewhat competative and don't typically turn down a challenge. HA! Here goes nothin'!! ;)
(p.s. I love numbered lists, they're kind of my "thing" HA!)
(p.p.s. way to go on climbing all of those stairs!! ;))
