We've lost our minds.....

Laura (at OCS graduation today as officers were chanting left/right cadences as the platoons were marching): "It sounds like they're saying 'lab coat!' "
*****************************
Dad (at dinner, as I was eating a bowl of hummus, carrots, and cucumbers): "What's that?"

Me: "Hummus."

Dad: "Pumice? That comes from volcanoes!"
*****************************
Dad (when Daniel said something obnoxious): "You know Laura, there's two ball bats in the basement. You have your choice of wood or aluminum. I think the wood would hurt more"
*****************************
Dad (when we were freaking out about how to pay in the parking ramp after returning to our car at the metro station after a day in DC): "Let not your hearts be troubled."
*****************************
Dan: "Oh! My nuts!" (Yelled in pain after dropping a gatorade bottle on himself in the van during the ride back to our hotel after a long day in DC Saturday)
*****************************
Me: "In six days God made heaven and earth." Explanation: I saw this on the back of an RV in large adhesive letters as we were somwewhere in West Virginia during our ride to Virginia....and found it funny....so I read it aloud in a loud, dramatic voice....only some people hadn't seen the message on the RV and simply thought i was off my rocker and randomly stating that ;).
*****************************
Dan (after we girls "misled" him by telling him we had seen a bear during our morning run): "I've always wanted to interact with a bear!" (spoken in a wistful tone. It was hysterical! He really believed us and was jealous!!)
*****************************
Me: "I think that's the Potowamac River!" Um.....a gross mispronunciation of "Potomac" ;)
*****************************
Mom: "Uh, you can't turn here."

Dad: "WATCH ME!!"
*****************************
Me: "Dad, calm down."

Dad: "Me? You guys are the ones who have been passing the crack pipe all day!"
*****************************

Oh, family fun! :)
