Because apparently we hadn't gotten enough of each other during last week's east coast road trip adventure ;), Dan and Laura drove down to Bloomington Friday night for dinner and birthday festivities :). It was a great time! I'm glad they thought we were cool enough to hang out with ;).
Dan chose Herradura, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, for his birthday dinner.
Laura and Dan
Dan with his birthday margarita (and birthday "burrito gigante"!! :))
Dan being wayyyyy goofy. I love this picture; it totally cracks me up.
Dan taking his TWO complimentary birthday tequila shots like a champion. Makes a big sister proud ;). HA!
Stop #2 of the night: Destihl. Dan got a flight of 5 beers, per Jeremy's suggestion.
Laura and Dan, amazed by their dessert ;). "Chocolate three-ways" YUMMY!!
It was a great night and I am glad they were able to come down to allow us to celebrate with them!
While I'd clearly rather live even closer to my family, it's great not being TOO far away. Dan is only 2 hours away from me when he is at home or at school (2 hours in opposite directions...Bloomington is right in the middle!) and the rest of my immediate family and much of my extended family is 2-3 hours away. Not bad at all. Still, I'd rather see them all more often :). But, I will enjoy what I can get.
Hopefully Dan/Laura, Megan/Danny, and Jer and I will be planning a trip to Six Flags in Gurnee sometime before the summer is over. I hope we can fin a common date that will work! It would be an awesome time.
Allllll right...laundry is calling!
Have a wonderful day :)
